This domain once belonged to the first company I worked for. It was one of the first names I typed into a browser every morning, printed on the first business card I carried, and attached to the place where I learned what professional software work actually looked like.
The company was eventually acquired. The team moved on, the product changed hands, and, in time, the domain was released. By then it no longer pointed to a living business—but it still pointed to a meaningful chapter in my life.
A new job for an old address
Buying it was not an attempt to preserve the old company in amber. Companies, products, and teams are allowed to end. The useful part is carrying the lessons forward.
So this address has a new purpose. It is now a home for my résumé, technical writing, unfinished ideas, and the occasional hard-won lesson. What used to introduce an organization now introduces the person that organization helped shape.
What belongs here
I want this site to contain the things that are easy to lose elsewhere: explanations written carefully, opinions updated honestly, and notes that might save someone else an afternoon. No feed to satisfy. No algorithm to impress. Just a durable place to think in public.
That feels like a fitting second life for the domain—and a good reminder that the web is at its best when addresses have people and stories behind them.
